It has been an incredible start to the New Year with our teams hitting the ground running in terms of scale and quantity of team building events. Below is a small window onto the last few weeks. One of the very first conference activities of 2017 was a whopping 900-delegate One Voice team building singing finale. Almost a thousand participants learned to become a company choir in record time.
Our vocal coach ‘wizards’ taught three-part harmony and even additional choreography, to end the day with a truly-transformed room.
I personally found myself in and out of London delivering several drumming workshops. With the emphasis on leadership training, I was facilitating new leaders in working in a very different (musical) environment and then observing their core leadership behaviours.
I also have had time to witness our Haka teams completely stun every audience they met! Our Maori teams have been all over the UK, and even off to sunny Spain for a huge conference surprise. So far this month, we have seen our Haka event delivered to over 1800 participants in conference venues around the country.
We employed the use of a circus skills expert and our Bollywood team to create a multi-activity day, which was a great success. Clients had a ball, learning different skills and ultimately performing them for each other.
The gloves were well and truly on with the first Clap Happy of the year. Seeing 200 delegates waving their hands in coloured rubber gloves was a sight. This was a precursor to an event last week when 2600 delegates were doing the same!
The 18th of January was particularly special. On this super busy day we had three separate Hakas going on and all our head facilitators had at least one event to run. We were practically waving to each other when passing on the motorways!
We had many drumming events requiring drums up and down the nation and we had an amazing Crashing Waiters dinner surprise.
All of this goes to plan purely because of the work our super office and logistics team put together. Anyone who runs events knows that it’s all the stuff behind the scenes that takes the most effort and painstaking patience.
So, on behalf of all the facilitators who themselves did an amazing job this month, we would like to thank Lisa, Helen and Mel for somehow getting us all in front of these 6300 participants.
From all the team, we hope to see, hear or at least email lots of you this coming year. Look out…here comes February!
